Inclusive Economy Lab Chicago’s Five-Year Blueprint on Homelessness

An estimated 60,000 Chicagoans are experiencing homelessness, a number that has increased this decade. Addressing the issue requires resources, cross-sector collaboration and coordination, and allowing people with lived experiences to weigh in on solutions.

In 2025, the Mayor’s Office of Homelessness launched a process to develop coordinated, comprehensive solutions for preventing and ending homelessness in Chicago. The Inclusive Economy Lab is serving as the data collection partner for this work.
