Priyansh Dhandha is a Quantitative Economics & Econometrics major (Applied Statistical Modelling and Advanced Mathematics Minor) at the University of Texas (B.S ‘25). As a Research Assistant in the Department of Economics, he supports a water‑utilities price‑optimization study—leveraging geospatial analytics and Google Earth Engine to integrate metrics obtained through satellite imagery.
Priyansh previously interned with UT’s Bureau of Economic Geology, where he built NLP pipelines in Python to gauge public sentiment on U.S. carbon‑capture projects, presenting his findings at the Annual Geophysical Union ‘24. His academic interests center on applied econometrics and data analytics, he is passionate about leveraging computational tools to derive actionable insights. Beyond research, Priyansh is a TA in the computational economics course at UT Austin. Outside of professional commitments, Priyansh thoroughly enjoys golfing, lifting weights and brewing coffee.
