Nicole Summers is a Project Associate who works on the Reducing Opioid Mortality in Illinois (ROMI) project. Nicole graduated from Western Illinois University with a Bachelors degree in Social Work in December 2000. She immediately began working in her field of study and has spent time as a crisis line worker, Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Advocate, Senior Services case manager and crisis response coordinator for children & adolescents suffering from mental illness (specifically those with impaired reality functioning). For the last several years, Nicole’s area of focus & concentration has been Child Welfare (working with a contracted service provider for DHS in Iowa).
