Nana Asare is an experienced research professional specializing in the intersection of mental health, homelessness, and criminal justice reform. Previously, he worked at the National Opinion Research Center, a research consulting firm, and The University of Chicago Urban Health Lab. At the Health Lab, he oversaw the implementation of the Supportive Release Center study, which focused on re-entry services for returning residents from the Cook County Department of Corrections. He also helped design and launch the Critical Time Intervention (CTI), Multisite Evaluation, which aims to understand the impact of CTI services on individuals with serious mental illness transitioning into housing or out of psychiatric hospitalization. He holds a BA in Anthropology from Wheaton College and an MPP from the University of Michigan Ford School for Public Policy.
