Jessica Rooney is the Senior Finance and Operations Manager for the Inclusive Economy Lab. Jessica brings nearly 20 years of experience working in the non-profit sector, including more than 10 years leading human rights-based anti-poverty programs through Heartland Alliance. More recently, she was the Chief Operations Officer for Heartland Human Care Services, the largest and most diverse company within Heartland. There she was a strong supervisor and implementer, overseeing the company's finances, quality management, data analysis, learning & development, facilities, project management, and clinical best practices.
She has held leadership positions in city, state, and national coalitions, including the Healthy Chicago initiative of the Chicago Department of Public Health, the Leadership Council of the Illinois Alliance to Prevent Obesity, and Travelers Aid International. Jessica received her BA in Anthropology from Wesleyan University, was a Research Associate at the Field Museum, and completed coursework towards her Masters in Latin American Studies at The University of Chicago.
