Heidi Choi is currently a data scientist at the Health Lab analyzing data and building machine learning models to answer research questions about public health and emergency response, particularly within the context of mental health and substance use.
Prior to joining the Health Lab, she built and lead the analytics team at the NYU Development and Alumni Relations office, where she developed dashboards and models to surface leads and highlight fundraising achievements for student scholarships.
Heidi holds an MS in applied statistics with a concentration in computational methods from New York University, and a BA in cognitive psychology from Bard College.
