Fiona Burlig is an Assistant Professor at the Harris School of Public Policy and the Energy Policy Institute (EPIC) at the University of Chicago, specializing in energy and environmental economics. Her previous research focused on the effectiveness of ruralelectrification in India, using machine learning to estimate the benefits of energy efficiency upgrades, and the relationship between groundwater and electricity use in California. She holds a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics from the University of California, Berkeley.
