Dianne is an independent scholar, and a fifty-year South Shore resident with twenty years of community advocacy in Chicago.
Dianne is a Senior with 30 years of customer service experience with a Fortune 500 company. She was an entrepreneur for approximately 20 years with a futuristic view on holistic living. She conducted workshops, directed and produced cable and radio programs centered on nutrition and emotional healing. Her greatest achievement is the South Merrill Community in the South Shore neighborhood. The garden is an anchor of love amid chaos.
Currently, Dianne is serving her second AmeriCorps program created for Senior's as a research study assistant and community liaison. Her years of networking and support to the South Shore community provide invaluable resources and insights to the Urban Health Lab at UChicago. By fostering relationships with local organizations, stakeholders, and community members, Dianne helps facilitate collaboration and trust, which are essential for effective public health interventions. The collaboration strengthens the relevance of the Lab’s work and also promotes community buy-in, which is crucial for the success of health initiatives.
