Crystal Warren is a distinguished retired city government professional with a diverse background in art curation, social service, and organizing citywide events tailored for individuals aged 55 and over. Throughout her career, she dedicated herself to enhancing the cultural landscape and social opportunities for seniors, all while fostering a vibrant and inclusive community spirit. Beyond her professional endeavors, Crystal is deeply engaged in grassroots activism as demonstrated in her current role as Executive Director of the Morgan Park Community Roots Organization. She spearheads initiatives aimed at preserving local heritage, fostering community cohesion, and advocating for the needs of residents. Crystal's unwavering commitment to community service and her passion for enriching the lives of others make her a respected leader and cherished asset to the Morgan Park community. While Crystal has received numerous awards and certificates: in 2025, she received a certificate of recognition for her commitment to exemplary nonprofit leadership and dedication to operational excellence from the Chicago Vibrant Neighborhoods Collective, the recipient of the Beverly Arts Center’s 2024 Bold Voices Award, and the 2022 Impact Award in recognition of her partnership, dedication, and commitment to serve the community for the Healthy Chicago Equity Zone.
Crystal holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Illinois Institute of Technology and is a proud alumna of Morgan Park High School.
