Crime Lab Gun Violence in Chicago (and what could have been)
On March 10, 2022, the City Club of Chicago invited Jens Ludwig, Edwin A. and Betty L. Bergman Distinguished Service Professor and Pritzker Director of the University of Chicago Crime Lab to present. Ludwig’s talk, entitled “Gun Violence in Chicago (and what could have been)”, discussed the nature of Chicago’s gun violence as an argument with guns” problem as in, that guns are readily available when arguments escalate.The audience for this event included policymakers and members of Chicago’s civic, philanthropic and business communities.
