Crime Lab Crime in Chicago: Beyond the Headlines

On January 29, 2018, the City Club of Chicago invited Jens Ludwig, McCormick Foundation Professor and Director of the UChicago Crime Lab to speak about violence in Chicago in 2017. Ludwig’s talk, entitled “Crime in Chicago: Beyond the Headlines,” discussed how the city has responded to the spike in gun violence experienced last year and some of the most promising strategies for moving forward. The audience for this sold out event included policymakers and members of the Chicago civic, philanthropic, and business communities.
