Marjolijn Bruggeling serves as the primary liaison for the Chicago Police Department on research, evaluation and technical assistance projects which are designed to reduce violent crime in the City of Chicago. Prior to this, Marjolijn was engaged as an independent consultant for the DOJ’s Bureau of Justice Assistance, Violence Reduction Network, assisting serval Police Departments to develop more robust crimefighting infrastructures. Marjolijn emigrated to the United States in 2016 from The Netherlands, where she was a lieutenant with the Amsterdam Police. She was instrumental in implementing data driven policing programs across The Netherlands for the Dutch National Police.
