Jonathan Guryan is the Lawyer Taylor Professor of Education and Social Policy in the School of Education and Social Policy at Northwestern University. He is also a Faculty Fellow at the Institute for Policy Research, and a courtesy member of the Economics Department and the Kellogg School of Business at Northwestern University.
Guryan is a faculty research fellow at the National Bureau of Economic Research, a research consultant at the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, and an associate editor of Labour Economics. Much of his research falls into two main categories: understanding the sources and consequences of racial inequality, and the economics of education.
Prior to joining the Northwestern faculty in 2010, Guryan taught at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
