Emma Nechamkin is a Data Scientist in the Crime Lab who works on the Early Intervention System. She holds a BA in Chemistry (honors) from Wellesley College, an MA in teaching from Dominican University’s Teach For America program, and an MS in Computational Analysis and Public Policy from The University of Chicago, where she was a 2019 Siebel Scholar. Previously, Emma worked as a research affiliate for Columbia University’s SAFE Lab, as a data scientist at the Urban Institute, as a chemistry teacher at a high school in Chicago, and as a consultant at a midsize healthcare consulting firm.
