Carolyn Silverman is a Senior Data Scientist at Crime Lab New York. She is interested in how insights from data and predictive analytics can inform more effective policies and lead to improved decision-making.

Prior to joining Crime Lab, Carolyn worked at Barnard’s Empirical Reasoning Center where she guided students and staff through data-driven projects across many disciplines. She holds an MS in data science from Columbia University and a BA in math-statistics and dance from Barnard College.
