Hannah Shaw manages projects focused on at-risk youth and violence prevention and coordinates research on New York City’s illegal gun market.

Before joining Crime Lab New York, she worked with the Philadelphia Mayor's Office on youth violence prevention and anti-poverty initiatives. She has also worked in Washington, DC, for the Senate Finance Committee, and on federal fiscal, economic and poverty policy at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities.

Hannah holds a BA in economics and history from Tufts University and an MPA from Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School.
