Emily Metz manages a portfolio of research projects on homelessness as well as an evaluation of Connect4Tots, a text messaging service for parents and guardians of toddlers.

Before joining Urban Labs, Emily worked for the Chicago Public Schools managing the process of opening new charter schools, as a research and policy analyst at the American Institutes for Research, and as a fellow in the Chicago Mayor’s Office. She holds a BA in English literature from Northwestern University and an MPP from the University of Chicago Harris School of Public Policy.

In her spare time, Emily is an enthusiastic home cook, yoga practitioner, antique buff, and traveler.
